Food can make the difference between a good day and a bad day. Whether it be quality, quantity, or cost, there are always factors involved in choosing your next meal. For a fast, kid-friendly, and delicious meal, chaffles are the way to go!
Named after the waffle—one of America’s most beloved breakfast foods—the chaffle consists of a few simple ingredients, leaving room for lots of creativity; it's the seasoning which makes all the difference.

Chaffles are versatile, as they can be made sweet or savory. As explained in Hangry Woman, sweet chaffles often taste cheesy again when stored and reheated. This can be remedied by adding more seasoning. A common concern of skeptics is the use of cheese. What some don’t understand is that Mozzarella or Cheddar as a base stabilizes the entire product. Having a strong protein and fat content, these cheeses work with the egg to provide both a crisp and tasty experience.
Another great aspect of this food is the simplicity of storing it. A batch can last in the freezer for approximately a week or in the refrigerator for several days; just place them individually in plastic storage bags before adding them to a cold shelf.
Without further ado, here’s the process:

Ingredients
~1 Large egg (beaten)
~½ Cup of cheese
~1-2 Tbsp almond flour (Optional; helps with texture but depends on desired carb intake)
~Seasonings or toppings of choice
~Pepperoni, extra cheese, and marinara sauce for a personal-pizza take on the dish
~Cinnamon with butter and cinnamon sugar for topping
~Italian seasoning with deli meat, condiments, or extra cheese for a sandwich-style
~Butter and syrup for a traditional waffle-style
~Fruit mixed in the batter for sweet flavoring or on top for embellishment

Instructions
1) Mix together seasonings with egg and cheese
2) Pour into the center of a standard four-quadrant waffle iron (greased)
Cook for approximately 3-5 minutes (or until slightly crispy)
3) Serve Warm and Enjoy!
