During this extended stay at home, you may find yourself searching for the frozen pizza. Quick and easy foods are popular for families who lack the time and energy to create a meal from start to finish. Yes, it is easier to stock the freezer with microwavable meals, but there's just something rewarding about making something from scratch. That's why this week's recipe is classic meatloaf! Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients:

4 lbs ground beef

3/4 cup instant oats (uncooked)

3-4 large eggs

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

4 Tbs Worcester sauce

1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Locate a large mixing bowl, spatula, and casserole dish.

3. Whisk eggs together lightly until they are homogeneous. Then combine eggs, beef, oats, salt, pepper, Worcester sauce, and one cup of tomato ketchup in the mixing bowl. Use the spatula to stir thoroughly.

4. Once combined, transfer all contents of the bowl into your large casserole dish. Use clean hands to shape it into a loaf. Contents will cook faster if the loaf is thinner and more spread out, however, there is no "proper thickness."

5. After you reach a desired shape, baste the loaf with remaining tomato ketchup. Place in the oven for approximately one hour. The internal temperature of beef should reach at least 145 degrees before consumption.

6. Remove the dish from the oven, allowing it 10 minutes to cool. Slice, serve, and enjoy.

Meatloaf pairs best with mashed potatoes and your family's favorite vegetable. This classic, home-style dish never fails to please a picky eater or entertain a large crowd!
